It turns out everyone is responsible for their own happiness. I can accompany other people in their sufferings and pain but I can't live for them. Each person is responsible for the weight of their own existence. It's ok to feel sorry for someone but it's not ok to carry other people's problems, as much as we love them, theirs are not ours.
